The 2nd Annual Deepwater Asia-Pacific 2009 will be held on September 17th and 18th 2009 in Beijing China.

Deepwater Asia-Pacific was created by Climate Decision Making Center (CDMC) in response to the growing importance of the Asia-Pacific region in meeting the energy needs of expanding economies throughout the world, and is supported by China Ministry of Land and Resources, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC).

The conference theme of the 2009 event is "Energy for Future: Innovative Solutions for Asia-Pacific Deepwater Sustainable Development" and will focus on the specific issues and technological needs of the Asia-Pacific deepwater arena.
